Children’s cultural Classes project was made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we have been able to achieve the following:
Children learned about Malawian heritage cultures.
They became more accepting of people from different backgrounds.
The program helped keep them away from negative behaviours like drugs and crime.
They learned Malawian languages to connect better with family and community.
They developed pride in their heritage and are ready to pass it on to others.
The Children's Cultural Classes helped build stronger, more connected, and culturally aware young people.
Children Cultural Heritage Lessons 2018 - 2024
Overview:
TNA presents "Children's Cultural Classes," which aims to bridge the cultural gap among children born in the UK by teaching them about their Malawian heritage while fostering integration with British culture. Our project commenced in 2018 up until now 2024.
Project Objectives:
Our project addresses several key objectives:
-Cultural Education: We strive to impart the moral aspects of both Malawian and British cultures to children, facilitating their seamless assimilation into both cultures.
-Inclusivity and Diversity: We emphasize teaching children how to embrace people of various races, nationalities, religions, and sexual orientations, promoting tolerance and acceptance.
-Preventing Anti-Social Behavior: We are dedicated to keeping children away from anti-social behavior such as drug misuse, vandalism, and street crimes.
-Language and Connection: Our project empowers children to learn the Malawian language, enabling them to communicate with their parents and connect with other Malawians.
-Cultural Legacy: As these children grow, they will pass on the Malawian culture to future generations, fostering pride in their heritage. write-ups, enriching people's understanding of Malawian culture..
"Children's Cultural Classes" is not just an educational endeavor; it's a vital bridge to understanding and unity among diverse communities. We believe that we can continue shaping a culturally rich and harmonious future for these children by investing in their cultural heritage education, a world of acceptance, respect, and shared heritage.
